EA has signed on with Valve’s highly popular digital distribution program Steam to distribute their games including recent releases, and with some added good news. Titles such as Spore and Mass Effect that have come under heavy fire for DRM usage, will no longer have any SecuROM protection. All games will use Steam’s DRM.

So some time ago we launched face search, which lets you limit your search results to only images containing face…
More recently we also rolled out photo search, which limits results to images that contain photographic elements, ignoring many cartoons and drawings which may not be useful to you…
Today we’re pleased to extend this capability to clip art and line drawings…

Great place to make a web page for people who know NOTHING about web programming. VERY easy to use. I plan on sending this to my parents! Allows for pictures, video, calendars, maps, and others.

Fans of OpenID will be excited to read about this:
We’re pleased to share that Google Friend Connect is now available in beta to any webmaster looking to add a “dash of social” to his or her site. This service lets webmasters add social features to their sites by simply copying and pasting a few snippets of code — no advanced coding or technical background required.
We know that people want to be social on the web, and Friend Connect makes it easy for anyone to sign in to a website, share a little bit about themselves through a personal profile, discover other people with similar interests, invite their contacts, and interact with friends. Even better, you don’t have to deal with the hassle of creating yet another username and password — Friend Connect lets you log in using an existing account from Google, Yahoo, AOL, or OpenID. Similarly, you can choose to either establish a new profile or use profiles and friend sources from other social networks that have opened up their services, like Plaxo and orkut.

Very cool. Also a reminder that you’re never safe and some hacker somewhere will rob your entire bank account!

Please note that this Password Revealer will not work on most applications in Windows Vista.
Black Friday (the day after thanksgiving) is known for outrageous sales, long lines, and insane parents buying a bunch of crap at 5 am “door busters”. I have participated in these events in the past, though my recent experience as a circuit city sales engineer
has opened my eyes to the level of crap they shovel through the doors on this truly awful shopping day.
this year I decided to to something different, I shopped online. Newegg was my store of choice and had the best offers, as usual.
I am not a person of seasonal gift giving as I believe that a gift can be given any time and the holidays are hardly a real reason to give. so I purchased these for myself.
Here is what I got:
The total after warranty for the camera, tax, and shipping was just about 1200. I needed it to be above 1000 for no interest/no payments for 1 year.
I am interested in the rest of you, what did you guys purchase (you might not want to mention gifts, though I am pretty sure whoever you bought them for isn’t reading this…)
